Keyword Actions
When an inbound SMS is matched with a keyword on a 2WM configuration, the Arpoone platform will then execute all the actions that have been configured on that keyword.
Routing
If the Arpoone user enables the routing option and provides an endpoint of his choosing, then, upon receiving a matched inbound SMS, Arpoone will automatically forward the received SMS to said endpoint, like a webhook. For detailed technical information on this process, please refer to the dedicated "Routing / Webhooks" page.
Automatic Reponses
If the Arpoone user enables the response option on the keyword, then, upon receiving a matched inbound SMS, Arpoone will automatically send a response SMS back to the phone number that sent the inbound SMS, with the text that was pre-configured by the Arpoone user. The SMS sender of the automatic response will be the same destination number of which the inbound SMS was sent to.
Example
- The Arpoone user sets up a 2WM configuration, for the destination number 910010221, with a keyword "REGISTER" configured with an automatic response that replies with "Your registration is confirmed.".
- The Arpoone user end-users sends an SMS from their phone number - for instance, 932211222, to destination number 910010221 with the text "REGISTER";
- Arpoone will match the inbound SMS with the keyword "REGISTER" on 910010221 and execute the automatic response action;
- The Arpoone user end-users will receive an SMS from 910010221, on their phone number 932211222, with the text "Your registration is confirmed.".
This process will withdraw from the account's SMS balance, like a standard marketing, automation or transactional SMS - if there are insufficient funds, the automatic responses will not be sent and the Arpoone user will receive an Email notification.
